JOC builds owner and builder relationship
There is a new movement in construction. And it’s impacting every sector of the industry. “Alternative” project delivery methods offer huge benefits for building owners and facility managers by reducing costs and eliminating headaches that stem from traditional delivery methods. That’s because alternative methods don’t focus on obtaining the lowest bid or generating conflict oriented environments, but on generating customer value, quality and cooperation in innovative solutions—the very things customers seek from any contractor in the long run.   Read More

Contract Continues Growing Relationship with the State of Washington Department of General Administration
Centennial and our joint venture partner, Sentinel have started 2007 with important new contract wins that include a continuation of our existing relationship with the State of Washington Department of General Administration. The successful reprocurement of our contract with the State of Washington Department of General Administration allows us to work throughout Washington for this customer for an additional three years. This has been an excellent customer for Centennial and we are excited for the opportunity to grow our relationship with them.

Three Regions of New Mexico get JOC
Centennial was successful in receiving awards for all three of the regions for which we submitted a proposal on the New Mexico Cooperative Educational Services (CES) Job Order Contract. The multiple award contract will serve CES JOC regions located in the northern part of New Mexico, is for one year with three option years, has an estimated volume of $12 million annually, and will supplement work our Albuquerque office is currently performing for CES on an existing statewide JOC.

Joint Venture Relationship Develops Recent Award in Washington State
Our most recent award with our Joint Venture Partner, Sentinel Industries, is a regional job order contract with the U.S. Navy, primarily in northwest Washington, but with the possibility of work being performed in other states in the NW region. The majority of work is expected to take place at Naval Base Kitsap at Bremerton, Naval Base Kitsap at Bangor, and Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Work will also be performed in Naval Reserve Centers throughout the region. The contract was awarded to Northwest McGrath JV, a joint venture between Sentinel Industries and Centennial.

Centennial Awarded Contract that Will Deliver Results in Headquarters Region
Montgomery County awarded Centennial with a four-year job order contract for the repair, alteration, modernization, rehabilitation, and construction of infrastructure, buildings owned by the county, and includes availability to the Montgomery County Public School system. Montgomery County is located in Maryland just north of Washington, DC. Montgomery is the most populous jurisdiction in Maryland and is one of the most affluent counties in the nation.

Job Order Contracting at the University of Washington
The University of Washington (UW) awarded Centennial a job order contract for services to the University at the main campus in Seattle, the UW-Tacoma, and other locations operated by the university. This JOC is for construction, renovation, repair and alteration projects for classroom, research, laboratory, medical, administrative, sports, and other facilities throughout the UW system. Founded in 1861, the University of Washington is one of the oldest state-supported institutions of higher education on the West Coast and is one of the preeminent research universities in the world.

Client Testimonials

Over the past two-three years Centennial Contractors has been a part of Flagstaff USD serving us in the capacity of Job Order Contracting. I would like to take a minute of your time to commend the crew working under the direction [of Centennial] leadership. Professionalism and service to the owner is the standard this crew lives by. They always go the extra mile to assure the job is done right, done on time, and punch list free. Never have I worked with people such as these. And, I have been around a long time. A little over two years ago Flagstaff USD decided to install an artificial field at one of our Elementary schools and I selected Centennial Contractors to run the show. Believe me they did just that. The team took ownership, did what they had to do and kept a close look out for our interests. They brought the project in on time, punch list free. The field is beautiful. In closing I just want to say I am looking forward to working with Centennial again. Thank you very much.
Flagstaff USD

When the purchasing dept came to us and said you might want to consider this, I felt like it would be really ideal for our situation. Centennial had a superintendent on site to supervise subcontractors. That's what really turned it over for me. It's been a great situation.
Joe Brown, DeSoto fire training center coordinator

We had gotten some bids... and they were so far above our budget we couldn't afford to do it. But Job Order Contracting gave us a little bit more flexibility, so we could get it done. And I think we're going to come out with a really nice building that the citizens can be proud of without going over our targeted amount.
Ben Griffin, Tomball City Manager, City of Tomball
