Centennial Connection Gets Facelift
Centennial employees were greeted by a fresh face in their mailboxes this quarter. The Connection, Centennial Construction Enterprises’ quarterly newsletter got a redesign beginning with the January 2010 edition. This issue focuses on Centennial’s sustainability efforts and includes a recap of 2009 and forecast of 2010 efforts; the winners of the sustainability President’s Challenge; and sustainable project profiles. It also contains regular columns about safety, new business and IT tips.

Centennial Staff to Run in Wounded Warrior Event
Along with helping sponsor, staff from Centennial and our JV company, Chesapeake Contractors located in the Hampton and Norfolk area will participate in the 2nd annual Wounded Warrior Project. Hosted by the Fort Monroe Spouse’s and Civilian Club, proceeds from the expected 1500 to 2000 runners and corporate sponsorships will help raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women. The event includes a 5K and 10K run as well as a Kids run and will take place Saturday, April 24, 2010. Read More |

Centennial Staff Brave the Weather and take the Plunge
With wind-chills near 0 and the Chesapeake Bay water temperature around 33 degrees, staff from Centennial’s Baltimore, Architect of the Capital, District of Columbia and Corporate offices took the ‘Plunge’ along with 25,000 other participants to help raise money for the Special Olympics. The 19 person team, dubbed the Glacial Express, raised over $4000.00 for the Maryland State Police and the Special Olympics. Read More |
