Demand for Facility Support Spurs Continued Growth in Texas.
VIENNA, VA, JULY 6, 2005: While there is always interest and demand for new construction projects and budgets across the United States, a large unseen need already exists. "We are seeing an ever increasing demand for renovation, repair, remodel and construction projects nationally," stated Bill Sweetser, President of Centennial Contractors Enterprises, Inc. headquartered in the Washington DC region. "One state where these demands are especially aggressive is in the State of Texas."
"We estimate that at any single moment in the United States there is over $200 Billion in renovation and repair work at universities, municipalities, state agencies, federal agencies, school districts, military bases, transit authorities, and the list goes onβ says David Carrithers, VP of Marketing. He continues, "One region in the country that is aggressively focusing on improving and up-grading existing facilities, along with building new ones, is the State of Texas. We believe that over the next five years, Texas alone could be applying billions of dollars towards facility improvements."
With growth comes the continual demand for new people resources. "Everything we do starts with the people on our team. We are hiring in Texas, now and into the foreseeable future. We require qualified construction people wanting to focus on a new way of doing construction,β commented TJ Welsch, Senior Director Staffing. "We are in the middle of a hiring blitz in Texas. We are looking for project managers, project general managers, estimators and senior level management in Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, Harlingen and the Rio Grande Valley."
"Our focus is on long term programs with our clients. Five, ten years and longer servicing and supporting a client is not uncommon." Bruce Auger, Senior Vice President continues, "We offer a stable, growing and exciting work environment. If someone loves the construction industry, and is ready to focus on building long term customer relationships and programs versus the single project grind, our Texas business operations is the place to be."
"Why I joined the Centennial team is real simple. I wanted to do something that mattered. I wanted to help the school children of Texas have the best learning environments possible, whether a new building or an existing one," stated Fred Calhoun, Senior Director of Project Development in Lewisville, Texas office. After thirty five years of service in the Texas Public Schools system Mr. Calhoun joined the Centennial team. Calhoun continues, "Everyday the benefits of Centennial's Job Order Contracting programs to both helping the school facilities people and the ultimate users β the kids, is so obvious. It is very rewarding to take my experience and Centennial's skills and apply them to our Texas schools and communities facility requirements."
"We are always looking for experienced project managers, project general managers and estimators." We believe in supporting our clients locally, that all Job Order Contracting programs are local. A key part of this is hiring people from the area we are serving with skilled, experienced and motivated local people "Having Texans managing, staffing and living in the nearby community is the key to providing superior customer service. We will only succeed in Texas, or anywhere we serve, if we provide superior customer service and execution of the projects" Auger closed with.
